Brief Overview

Cost: £75 per NQT

The growth of high quality leadership in schools across the local authority is key to the success of young people in the West Midlands; this is a unique series of leadership growth opportunities for NQTs, delivered by system leaders form across the Alliance, to introduce the key skills and behaviours of highly effective leaders and support teacher development throughout their NQT year.

Sessions:

  • (10th November) Time Management, Social Justice, Student Engagement, BFL, and Teacher Persona
  • (2nd March 2019) Teacher Legacy and Influence, Social Justice, Strategies for Student Leadership, BFL 2, Effective Leadership

Facilitators:

Any NQTs in West Midlands.

What will you take away with you? e.g. resources, learning points etc.

Resources and strategies to use immediately in your practice and in the future.

  • To improve the effectiveness of all aspects of your teaching practice.
  • To think about their role more widely, and to think about the direction of your careers.

What is the intended impact for your school?

For NQTs to be more effective as teachers and as members of the staff community. Students will benefit from their teacher being a more effective practitioner.
